Spartan Trail Held in Croatia in Three Editions
An Adrenaline Adventure in Sveta Nedjelja
Sveta Nedjelja once again hosted the SANTA DOMENICA SPARTAN TRIFECTA WEEKEND 2025 on April 5 and 6, 2025. This event is part of Spartan Trail, a globally renowned sports competition known as the toughest obstacle race in the world.
More than two thousand Spartans tested their endurance limits at Lake Orešje, competing in three legendary Spartan races — Sprint, Super, and Beast.
You can take part in this adrenaline challenge just 30 kilometers from Zagreb again in 2026. The next Santa Domenica Spartan Trifecta Weekend is scheduled for March 28–29, with registrations open for all three categories.
Spartan World Championship Hvar 2025
From October 9 to 12, the beauty of the island of Hvar served as the backdrop for the three-day adrenaline-filled Spartan World Championship Hvar 2025.
Record-breaking registration numbers marked the world’s largest obstacle racing competition, with 4,200 competitors from more than 60 countries participating. Athletes competed in the well-known disciplines — Sprint (5 km, 20 obstacles), Super (10 km, 25 obstacles), and Beast (21 km, 30 obstacles), while the youngest competitors participated in the Kids Race. In addition, a 100-meter obstacle race was introduced, which will become part of the Olympic Games program for the first time in 2028.

Record Number of Runners at the Dubrovnik Spartan Trail
Nearly 600 runners from 22 countries participated in the third edition of the Spartan Dubrovnik Trail, a world-famous sporting event that connects natural beauty and sport.
The race took place on October 24 and 25 and included members of the Croatian national trail running team. In addition to showcasing the best of the Croatian trail scene, the race featured established international competitors, confirming Dubrovnik as a top global sports destination. Once again, Spartan Trail routes successfully combined adventure, history, and Dubrovnik’s breathtaking landscape into a unique experience.
